06. We think negatively.
03. The final blog. Your way to anxiety freedom.
The First Step to Freedom
Academically and scientifically, anxiety is not considered an illness, sickness, or disease but rather a term we use to describe a feeling or condition that is unpleasant.
Understanding that you are not “sick” when experiencing anxiety will be a significant first step toward alleviation. This perspective is vital because it shifts the focus from illness to managing unpleasant feelings. Over time, this understanding will change our brain’s perception of anxiety, leading to a decrease and even disappearance of anxiety symptoms.
The concept here is to transform the belief system around anxiety.
By recognizing and accepting that the sensations associated with anxiety do not indicate sickness, one can begin to address these feelings more effectively. Anxiety, in its essence, is a powerful but normal emotional response that can become overwhelming if misunderstood or misinterpreted. The approach to dealing with anxiety, therefore, involves changing our perception and understanding of these feelings, rather than treating them as indicators of illness.
This perspective is supported by the notion that anxiety is a result of our thoughts and can be influenced by how we choose to interpret and respond to these thoughts. Positive thinking and challenging our beliefs about anxiety will play a crucial role in managing and potentially overcoming anxiety.
